What You’ll Be Doing As Director, Premises & Business Continuity Management, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the day‑to‑day management of business recovery plans and the planning process for Capital Markets Canada. You will oversee project management for Toronto premises and provide strategic leadership on premises‑related matters across Capital Markets’ Canadian regional offices. In addition, you will guide and train team members, empowering them to achieve departmental goals and successfully deliver on key initiatives and projects. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, you’ll be on‑site full‑time. How You’ll Succeed Premises Management & Workplace Support: oversee day‑to‑day workplace operations for Toronto premises, support regional offices across Canada; manage renovation projects, partner with Corporate Services to optimise costs, ensure minimal disruption; conduct security access reviews, coordinate employee moves, communicate updates; support events department as required. Business Continuity: support development and maintenance of business continuity plans, collaborate with stakeholders, review dependencies, assess risks, lead operational tests; integrate plans, support management during disruptions, participate in local and bank‑wide initiatives. Health & Safety Committee: lead and schedule regular meetings, document minutes, conduct workplace safety inspections, coordinate training, maintain certification records, support regional offices, represent on Policy Committee, communicate updates. Who You Are Post‑secondary degree or equivalent relevant work experience. Minimum 5 years in project management, operations, vendor management or related field. Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles for budget reporting. Exceptional communication skills, able to engage diverse stakeholders and distil complex information. Ability to drive strategic direction by proactively identifying and capitalising on emerging trends. Proven track record of delivering results in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments. Client‑first mindset, willing to go the extra mile. Capability to establish and implement key processes, continuously improve and refine.
