Our client, a leader in the logistics industry, is looking for Class 1/AZ drivers in the Calgary area to start in the month of August.

Shifts

Day and night shifts available
Overnight shifts

Job description

Dock to dock delivery, no hand bombing unless needed
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights and brakes
Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
Complete driver log book, inspection reports, incident reports
Local delivery of general freight, dry and reefer

Skills

English communication - oral and written
Professionalism and excellence in customer service
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Document use
Team work
Time management and punctuality
Highly safety conscious

Education & Experience

Valid Class 1 drivers license with 2 years experience
Must be able to drive manual transmission
Valid CVOR, abstract & drivers license
Valid criminal record
Working references from past 2 years

Salary: $25.00-$28.00 per hour $850-950 Flat rate per Run

Schedule:

10 hour shift

12 hour shift

Day shift

Evening shift

Monday to Friday

Night shift

On call

Overtime

Weekends as needed

(Schedules fluctuate depending on what position is needed)

Experience:

Class 1 commercial driving: 2 years (required)
Manual transmission: 1 year (required)
shunting/shuttling: 1 year (preferred)
Mountain Driving: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
