Senior Java Full-Stack Developer (Java / Spring Boot / Angular) role at Hunter by HiringAgents.ai Job title : Senior Java Full-Stack Developer (Java / Spring Boot / Angular) Client : Hunter Scouts Location : Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – On‑Site Contract type : Contract Contract duration : 40 hours per week About the role Hunter Scouts is hiring on behalf of a large national healthcare organization (confidential) for a Senior Java Full‑Stack Developer on a full‑time, 40‑hour/week contract based in Ottawa, ON. You will build and maintain enterprise web applications across a Java/Spring Boot back end and Angular front end, integrate with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, and deploy via CI/CD to OpenShift and Azure. This is a hands‑on role focused on delivering reliable, secure, high‑performance features end‑to‑end. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git, Maven, Jenkins and deploy to Red Hat OpenShift Work within Microsoft Azure cloud environments for hosting and related services Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack, and ensure production reliability and security Optimize database queries and application performance Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver features end‑to‑end Requirements Must be located within a 50‑mile radius of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Minimum 7+ years professional software development experience, including full‑stack development; must have the legal right to work in Canada Hands‑on experience developing back‑end services with Java, Spring and Spring Boot, and building RESTful APIs Hands‑on experience developing front‑end applications with Angular Experience working with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases Experience using Git and Maven in day‑to‑day development and configuring CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins; experience deploying to Red Hat OpenShift and working with Microsoft Azure Preferred Skills Experience with performance tuning and query optimization in Oracle and PostgreSQL Experience with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes in addition to OpenShift Experience implementing monitoring and logging for Java/Angular applications (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) Prior experience in healthcare or public‑sector enterprise applications Notes Client is confidential (not to be disclosed during initial outreach) Role is on‑site in Ottawa; local candidates only Contract role, 40 hours per week How to apply: Please submit your resume and a brief cover note via the job board application to Hunter Scouts.
