Comprehensive medical and dental plan and personal days off. Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Manage a team of six Health and Safety members. Provide leadership and management to the entire Health and Safety team. Demonstrate Health and Safety to the organization, modelling appropriate behaviour and promoting a safety culture. Co‑‑teach Health and Safety knowledge to internal stakeholders, ensuring regulatory awareness and a safety culture within their own teams. Act as a trusted advisor to all management members, providing coaching and support as required. Identify root causes of challenges and present viable solutions. Develop, update and manage all workplace safety procedures, programs and policies for the company. Consistently monitor and update HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and create a safe work environment. Prepare and perform internal and external audits for COR certification. Perform site inspections as required, ensuring safety programs are implemented accordingly. Assist in setting up training for all employees on specialty programs. Implement and maintain all HSE training programs. Educate the organization on root causes and trends from incident investigations. Research and administer safety guidelines for implementation of best safety policies. Practice and coach safety language and continue to evolve the safety culture. Qualifications Minimum of 7 years progressive Health and Safety experience, with a previous leadership role required. Outstanding knowledge of occupational safety legislation and Health and Safety best practices. Post‑secondary education in Health and Safety is preferred. CRSP designation required. First aid certification and WHMIS instructor certification required. ASCA COR Auditor certification required. Experience with safety leadership in environments with subcontractors is an asset. WHMIS “Train the Trainer” certification is an asset. An understanding of adult learning styles is an asset. Interview Process 20‑minute preliminary phone interview with a recruiter. 20‑40‑minute assessment (depending on optional practice questions or breaks). 30‑minute MS Teams video interview with the hiring manager and direct supervisor.
