Role Overview The Associate – Fund Governance works closely with Managing Directors, Executive Directors, Directors and Associate Directors to provide high‑quality client service across the Directorships team. Key responsibilities include database and document management, regulatory project support, and maintaining strong relationships with a portfolio of clients. Core Responsibilities Maintain and develop client relationships for a portfolio of fund and corporate clients. Review client documents and ensure quality control, guaranteeing a 24‑hour turnaround and timely entry into Salesforce. Assess risk, prioritize workload, and align with operational risk and compliance requirements. Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes, supporting related projects. Manage Document Execution Form (DEF) workflows for board resolutions, agreements and other transaction documentation. Coordinate with Associate Directors and Directors to secure timely documentation turnaround. Facilitate onboarding of new engagements and ensure efficient completion of related processes. Deliver excellent customer service and professionally liaise with fund service providers. Identify cross‑selling opportunities for Waystone products. Maintain client status, regulatory and service provider information in Salesforce. Track accounts receivable and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure professional communication with clients via phone and email, documenting calls appropriately. Organize and lead focused group and wider team training sessions on relevant matters. Schedule and compile meeting materials for Directors as required. Manage out‑of‑office coverage, completing required checklists for outstanding DEFs and meetings. Create a positive, collaborative environment and take on additional duties as required. Present tracking schedules at regular team meetings and assist in training new staff members. Education & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or an internationally recognized professional qualification. Minimum 2 years of relevant financial services experience (fund governance, corporate services, fund administration, auditing or legal). Knowledge of fund structures, documentation, and regulatory requirements is an advantage. Strong time‑management, organizational, oral and written communication skills, and critical thinking. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with a diverse client portfolio, including Cayman‑domiciled hedge funds and companies.
