The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in medium and low voltage distribution systems. What you can expect to do here Lead the technical development of electrical projects, from preliminary studies to detailed engineering. Prepare, review, and approve drawings including site plans, single line diagrams, panel schedules, and material takeoffs for 240 V to 35 kV distribution systems. Be familiar with various EV charging systems for light duty and heavy‑duty fleet vehicles. Conduct power systems studies – short‑circuit analysis, arc flash, grounding, and protection coordination. Work with clients to identify needs and transpose them into requirement registers. Prepare specifications and design packages with low‑voltage and civil teams. Oversee design and drafting team members. Assess customer requests and ensure design of electrical installations within single and multidisciplinary projects. Review and approve electrical equipment and installation specifications. Attend project technical reviews. Coordinate project stakeholders – client, utility, municipal agencies, engineering firms – with support of the Project Manager. Review and approve RFPs for equipment installation. Prepare and analyze bids and tender documents. Ensure deadlines are respected and deliverables are of high quality. Represent the firm to clients. What you’ll bring to WSP Bachelor of Electrical Engineering. 5+ years of active Professional Engineering experience with medium and low voltage systems. Registered as a Professional Engineer in one or more provinces/territories. Excellent command of the Canadian Electrical code and local additions. Fluent in English; bilingual French and English highly valued. Experience with hydrogen fueling systems is an asset.
