We are looking for a dedicated individual to ensure smooth operations on the tarmac, take off with us and experience the thrill of the aviation industry Job Overview As the Training Supervisor you will be responsible for delivering and coordinating training to fulfil our service standards for our Customer Airlines. Your role will require you to provide initial and recurrent training and proactively promote a ‘safety first’ culture. Main Accountabilities Schedule, conduct initial and recurrent training. Schedule and conduct Lead & Supervisor Aircraft Loading (SAL) Training. Schedule and conduct GSE Training. Promote a professional image at all times applying the Company Uniform Standards. Ensure the safe and correct control of all resources on the Ramp. Comply with all Airlines Ground Handling Regulations. Support corporate compliance with applicable Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations. Support employees and supervisors in undertaking proactive and preventative measures to achieve compliance with health and safety legislation. Full compliance and implementation at all times of the following: Airline Handling Manuals Airport Disruption Management Policy Customer Service Promise Communications Promise POA (Person of Accountability) procedures Report any breaches of statutory requirements or company best practice to management. Maintain compliance with all government, customer and company policies/procedures. Must be able to travel to other Stations when required. Must maintain Airport security clearance. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications & Experience Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s license and DA/AVOP and Transport Canada Security Clearance. Basic knowledge of Excel, Word & Outlook. At least 2 years’ experience on Ramp GSE, Baggage Tractor, Belt Loader, Push Back Tractor – Conventional, Push Back Tractor – Towbarless (beneficial), Lower Deck Loader, Main Deck Loader (beneficial). High school diploma with at least two years of experience in ramp operations in a Lead/Supervisor or Training capacity. Previous experience as a Ramp lead and a satisfactory safety/performance record. Certified trainer for customer or ability to complete the training program. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word. Thorough knowledge of ground handling operations, aviation security, safety practices, legislation and customer‑supplier relationships. Must obtain and hold all required security clearances. Driver of safety van and truck between work sites as needed. Working knowledge of GSE maintenance issues. Understanding of the wider airport operational environment. Ability to lift up to 70lbs when required. Experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation. Experience in Health and Safety Management.
