XENTERA is developing a multipurpose, high-fuel-efficiency, low-emissions blended-wing-body VTOL drone that achieves transonic speeds and long-range capabilities for time-sensitive, high-value payloads, redefining industry standards in speed, payload, range, and operational versatility. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and optimization of the BWB VTOL drone, ensuring alignment with project objectives and technical requirements. Define and execute the technical roadmap for the project, establishing clear milestones and timelines for prototype development and testing. Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify optimal design configurations, propulsion systems, and materials for achieving project goals. Oversee the integration of Turbo-Generator (Hybrid Electric) technology into the drone platform, including power generation, distribution, and utilization. Collaborate closely with cross-functional team members, including aerospace engineers, electrical engineers, and software developers, to ensure seamless integration of subsystems and components. Lead experimental testing and validation activities, including flight testing and simulation-based analysis, to verify the performance and capabilities of the drone in various operating conditions. Drive continuous improvement and innovation through the application of cutting-edge aerospace engineering principles and technologies. Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with suppliers, manufacturers, and research institutions to support project development and scalability. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence. Qualifications Educational Background: A degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Experience: Proven track record with a minimum of 3-10 years of experience in a leadership role within the aerospace or aeronautical industry or any pertinent segments within aircraft engineering. Extensive experience in designing and developing innovative drone technologies. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of aeronautical principles, propulsion systems, and aerodynamics. Strong background in designing and optimizing VTOL capabilities for unmanned aerial vehicles. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional engineering teams. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A passion for pushing the boundaries of technology and a demonstrated ability to bring innovative ideas to fruition. Previous experience in a startup environment is advantageous. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic startup environment, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.
