Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity? As a Vice President within the Institutional Client Credit Management Team you will be a key member assisting and managing a trading credit portfolio and facilitating transactions originated by the various trading businesses of RBC Capital Markets (CM) within the regulated asset management space, while safeguarding the credit quality of the portfolio. You will be leading a team and partnering with various trading businesses in CM to (i) identify and recommend suitable trading counterparties, (ii) facilitate the credit process, including evaluating and screening requests, preparing transaction requests and risk assessments, (iii) co-ordinate the trading documentation process, including structuring appropriate credit mitigation and (iv) optimize revenues. What will you do? Maintain relationships with CM sales and trading professionals and counterparties to ensure client needs are met on a timely basis including addressing credit requirements as necessary.Timely preparation of transaction requests in support of CM credit intensive trading activities with global asset managers on behalf of the funds they manage. Understand and assess client investment strategies from a risk perspectiveMaintenance and accuracy of trading limit data with CCMS and all relevant limit systemsCompliance reportingParticipate in KYC process and Annual reviewsCompletion of assigned projects and other duties in an efficient and effective manner that supports business initiativesMaintain a strong understanding of RBFG trading policies and guidelinesInitiate and maintain contact with CM trading professionals, Group Risk Management, Trading Documentation, Corporate Banking, and RBC Law GroupUnderstand and assist in negotiating supporting trading documentation including ISDA, MRA, and GMSLACoach and guide junior professionals to ensure that employees understand RBC vision and support targeted behaviours that contribute to RBC goals and employee career development.Accept and successfully execute change while supporting employees through the process, and keeping them focused on business priorities. What do you need to succeed?Must-have:Graduate Degree with focus in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or other quantitative fieldsMinimum of 6 years of Credit experience working within the financial institutionsUnderstanding and knowledge of fund industry and securities regulations governing fundsStrong understanding of RBC trading products including FX, swaps and securities financeUnderstanding of trading documentationAdvanced data and computer management skills including proficiency with ExcelSelf-starter with strong organizational and time management skillsAbility to establish priorities and manage tasks with accompanying attention to detailAbility to interpret, explain and communicate opinions and recommendations using strong verbal and written skills Strong Problem solving skills.Nice-to-haveA CFA and/or CSCKnowledgeable of the RBC global network and capabilities and understanding of and ability to interpret RBC credit processes, standing orders and credit policiesExperience with and knowledge of the analytical approaches to credit risk assessmentPrevious People Management experienceWhats in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
