About the Division The Correctional Services Division of the Ministry of the Solicitor General is responsible for maintaining and operating provincial correctional institutions for adult offenders, 18 years and over, who are serving a sentence of up to two years less a day or who are awaiting criminal proceedings. This ministry is also responsible for the community supervision of persons on probation, conditional sentences and provincial parole. As the Deputy Superintendent Compliance, you will: Lead and manage staff to ensure effective delivery of compliance and policy objectives, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Provide operational oversight for compliance activities, ensuring adherence to ministry standards and institutional policies. Drive modernization initiatives by implementing new policies and adapting existing ones to align with evolving correctional practices. Mobilize and engage staff at all levels, including corporals and staff sergeants, to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures. Champion change management strategies to support organizational transformation and continuous improvement. Monitor and evaluate compliance performance, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to maintain accountability and operational excellence. What you bring to the team Leadership experience You have a strategic, team‑focused leadership style and the ability to oversee the delivery of institutional programs and services. You can manage staff, provide leadership, coaching and direction, and foster an engaged and inclusive environment. You act with integrity, even when it is difficult to do so.
