Contract- 3 months (up to 12 month extension) $75/hr Closed About the Role Our public sector client is seeking an Intermediate Application Developer for a ServiceNow Developer job position, for a 3 month, full time contract, with the possibility of up to a 12-month extension. The ServiceNow Developer will be required on a full time basis (7.25 hour work day, 36.25 hours/week) and will participate in development and maintenance needs identified within contact center program. This includes ServiceNow capabilities, ServiceNow integration with CX-One and associated tools. Responsibilities will include: Design, develop, test and implement the contact centre solution features in ServiceNow. Troubleshoot and resolve issue in contact centre solution in ServiceNow and the integrations. An ServiceNow Developer applies a broad knowledge of various technical areas to foresee and rectify problems. Liaises with business units and program areas to ensure solutions meet current and strategic client needs and requirements. Provide ServiceNow functional and technical expertise. Configure and customize ServiceNow modules to meet requirements ensuring the integrity and sustainability of system configuration. Execute internal testing (unit testing) and support UAT activities. Provide overall Technical Solution Quality Assurance (QA) Support warranty activities as required. Support transition to operations (hand off) to support teams. Provides and maintains technical documentation of design and changes. Certified ServiceNow Application Developer (CAD) and/or Certified System Administrator (CSA). Participates in agile delivery meetings. Able to quickly understand application functionalities and process. Handle and fix production defects efficiently. Provide tracking and reporting of time and status on all work as required. Identify and coordinate release schedules Ensure planned releases remain on schedule and on track Equipment requirements: Resource must provide their own computer and related equipment. The computer's operating system must be a modern version of Windows or MacOS that is compatible with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and related software for remote access. Windows is preferred due to better compatibility. AVD/remote-related software will be installed on the resource's computer. Working Hours Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the Province. Work must be done from within Canada , due to network and data security issues. It is anticipated the role will be 100% remote, however in the event of an onsite meeting, the client/Handis Consulting does not pay for travel to attend on-site meetings, nor any expenses related to relocation, commuting, housing/accommodation, food/drink. Requirements Education College or Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of study Professional Licenses/Certifications Certified ServiceNow Application Developer (CAD) and/or Certified System Administrator (CSA) Work Experience 5 years experiencein designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting applications in a controlled production environment 5 years experience in ServiceNow configuration, customization and development 5 years experience in ServiceNow CSM module 5 years experience with ServiceNow platform 5 years experience with software development processes, and all associated best practices, methods, standards, tools, and policies 5 years experience writing and maintaining technical documentation 3 years experiencedeveloping and maintaining web services, JSON REST API and Message queuing services using .NET C# services 2 years experience with Contact Centre Platform 3 years experience within a Public Sector organization 3 years experience with various software development methodologies (i.e. agile, waterfall, scrum, Kanban, etc. Standard and Enhanced Background Check The contractor shall, prior to commencement of the Services, provide the client, on its request and at no cost to the client, with criminal record checks. An Enhanced Security Clearance will be required for this position, which will be coordinated by the client only for this position. Enhanced Security Clearance includes a standard Criminal Records Check and enhanced security including a Credit Check. Resource References Three references, for whom similar work has been performed, must be provided. The most recent reference should be listed first. Reference checks may or may not be completed to assist with scoring of the proposed resource by the client.
