Order picking and material handling define this White Cap opportunity for a Distribution Center Associate I. Work under close supervision in a physically demanding environment.
This entry-level distribution center position supports specialized tasks in order picking, receiving, shipping, returns, or other departments. White Cap associates sort, pick, stock, stage, load, unload, and organize construction industrial materials. The work follows prescribed processes, safety policies, and supervisor guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort, pick, stock, and stage materials
- Load and unload designated storage areas and vehicles
- Stack boxes, ladders, pallets, and construction materials
- Maintain clean, correctly organized work areas
- Follow safety policies and encourage associate compliance
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred
- Zero to two years of relevant experience
- Six or more months of relative experience preferred
- Ability to perform continuous physical exertion
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy or awkward materials
