Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Architect / Product Owner for a 4-month contract with the strong opportunity for extension and/or full time hire. The successful candidate will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical execution, ensuring the successful development and delivery of innovative AI-based products. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a strong background in agile methodologies, and the ability to translate vague business objectives into coherent, actionable plans.


Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership:

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy to all stakeholders.
  • Translate business objectives into detailed product requirements and user stories.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog to ensure alignment with business goals.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, product management, and technical teams.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to gather feedback and ensure alignment.

Agile and Scrum Leadership:

  • Lead agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure the team adheres to agile principles and practices.
  • Continuously improve agile processes to enhance team performance and product quality.

Project Management:

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products within budget constraints.

Technical Collaboration:

  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure the feasibility of product features.
  • Provide guidance and support to the technical team, leveraging your industry knowledge and experience.
  • Identify and address technical challenges and risks.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5-10 years
  • Proven experience as a Business Architect, Product Owner, or similar role.
  • Experience in the Life Science industry is a strong bonus.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate vague business objectives into clear, actionable plans.


Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and scrum practices.
  • Ability to manage and motivate technical teams.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is a plus.
