Location: Various locations across Ontario
Phlebotomistsare responsible for drawing blood from patients for testing, transfusions, ordonations. They ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Perform venipunctures andcapillary collections accurately and safely.
- Prepare and label bloodsamples for laboratory testing.
- Maintain cleanliness andorganization of the work area.
- Educate patients about theblood collection process.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma orequivalent; certification in phlebotomy preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skillsand empathy.
- Ability to work underpressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and excellent hand-eyecoordination.
