This position is within WSP’s Resources division (Industrial and Mining). This division provides a full range of services to industrial and mining operators, including all engineering‑related services. The Electrical Engineer will work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to planning and executing projects for new infrastructure construction or the modification of existing facilities. To meet these growing challenges, WSP is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer or Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our Industrial and Mining department , based in our Rouyn‑Noranda, Val‑d'Or, or Amos office. Produce quantity takeoffs and prepare budget estimates. Oversee the verification and preparation of tender documents, specifications, and other technical documentation. Supervise the work of technicians and draftspeople assigned to the project. Assist the project manager as needed. Perform any other related tasks that may assist with project delivery. Participate in developing plans, specifications, and details based on guidelines for electrical, industrial, mining, or institutional engineering projects. What You Will Bring to WSP Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or any equivalent training. 5+ years of relevant experience in designing electrical systems for institutional, industrial, or mining environments. Members in good standing with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ). Experience in consulting engineering is considered an asset. ASP Construction card (the candidate will need to travel occasionally). Strong rigor, initiative, and attention to detail. Ability to work in a team. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Bilingualism is required, as the individual will frequently be involved in projects for English‑speaking clients and partners, often located outside Quebec. Compensation BC, AB, SK, NT & NU: $98,800 – $130,800 MB & ON: $90,100 – $124,100 Atlantic provinces & QC: $89,200 – $118,500 Disclosure The final salary offered for this position may differ from the range listed above depending on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
