Senior ERP Technical Analyst – Cognos

Reference #: 8048Location: Ottawa – remoteType: Sub-contract Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking a Senior ERP Technical Analyst – Cognos & ETL, for one of our key government clients. Candidate MUST have the following: A valid security clearance at the level of Reliability; A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience within the last 15 years in developing and documenting ERP business, and/or system requirements specifications; Over ten (10) years of experience, within a large organization of over 1,000 employees, performing the following: Developing or assisting with business and functional requirements, project scope, estimates of effort and duration; Over ten (10) years of experience, within a large organization of over 1,000 employees, performing the following: Translating functional and business requirements into technical requirements; Over ten (10) years of experience, within a large organization of over 1,000 employees, performing the following: Developing and managing technical aspects of application software, user interfaces, and third-party components; Over ten (10) years of experience, within a large organization of over 1,000 employees, performing the following: Conducting, assisting with, and managing unit and system tests; and Over ten (10) years of experience, within a large organization of over 1,000 employees, performing the following: Establishing technical standards for the technical framework. Candidate should have the following demonstrated experience: Designing, developing, and maintaining IBM Cognos infrastructure solutions, including data conversion process models, ETL specifications, and ETL code; Creating and publishing documentation for IBM Cognos infrastructure, including design, maintenance, production deployment instructions, and other related process documentation; Defining, documenting, and developing unit test cases for IBM Cognos infrastructure and participating in User Acceptance Testing; Eliciting requirements using interviews and workshops, and translating these requirements into use cases and workflows specific to IBM Cognos; Defining and building the BI metadata layer within IBM Cognos based on business requirements; Reviewing and analyzing ERP data from multiple internal and external sources to ensure compatibility with IBM Cognos; Writing SQL scripts to create data extracts for IBM Cognos; Developing enterprise-wide data analysis and reporting solutions using IBM Cognos Business Intelligence (BI) Tools Suite; Implementing technology best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes for IBM Cognos infrastructure; Providing technical assistance and cross-training to team members and assisting users with IBM Cognos data solutions; Analyzing large data sets and optimizing SQL code for IBM Cognos infrastructure; Troubleshooting and resolving production issues related to IBM Cognos under tight deadlines; Supporting system operations including monitoring, troubleshooting, logging issues, and performing recovery procedures for IBM Cognos; and Implementing technology best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes for IBM Cognos infrastructure.
