We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wiring Technician to join our team. As a Wiring Technician, you will play a crucial role in our structured wiring and low voltage projects. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing wiring systems in residential and commercial properties. Your expertise in wiring and construction practices will be vital in ensuring the seamless integration of various low voltage systems, providing our clients with reliable and high-performance solutions. Requirements Wiring Installation: Install and terminate low voltage wiring systems, including data, audio, video, and security components, following industry standards and project specifications. Structured Wiring: Work on preconstruction and retrofit projects, integrating structured low voltage wiring into buildings, ensuring efficient connectivity and optimal performance. Construction Understanding: Collaborate with construction teams, architects, and project managers to ensure proper wiring integration during building or renovation phases. Diagnosis and Repair: Troubleshoot and diagnose wiring issues, repair faults, and conduct preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity and reliability of wiring systems. Compliance and Standards: Ensure all wiring installations comply with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards, adhering to best practices in the industry. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of wiring layouts, schematics, and configurations, providing clear documentation for future reference and troubleshooting. Experience: Proven experience as a Wiring Technician or similar role, with a strong background in structured wiring and low voltage systems. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of low voltage wiring, structured cabling, and various wiring components. Familiarity with construction practices and blueprints is essential. Skills: Proficient in using various hand and power tools for wiring installations. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial. Certifications: Relevant certifications in wiring or low voltage systems are a plus and demonstrate technical expertise. Safety: Commitment to safety protocols, ensuring a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues. Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and other stakeholders during projects.
