Position Summary The Banquet Server will provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire event process to ensure the highest standard of customer satisfaction. Candidates must be friendly and honest, build strong relationships, continually strive to provide a seamless experience and be flexible with clients and guests’ needs by delivering quality services and products through detailed and accurate communication. TD Coliseum team members must share in our values of being adaptable to event needs, being aware of guest requirements, showing strong character and being team‑centric. Hourly rate: $17.60 CAD (tip eligible). Benefits for part‑time roles: Pension matching. Benefits and Status The position will remain open until February 27, 2026 . Responsibilities Read and understand Banquet Event Orders. Carry at least 8 entrees per tray. Provide fine‑dining level food and beverage service to guests for all events in line with DLTCC standards. Initiate and maintain friendly and professional contact with guests, ensuring needs are anticipated and met. Set up and maintain food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building according to DLTCC standards. Inventory and maintain all food and beverage stations. Keep all event areas and front‑of‑house staging areas tidy and organized. Participate in setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items. Work independently during slower times. Perform safe work practices to maintain a safe and clean environment. Maintain a high level of social contact, working closely with staff and patrons. Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and select holidays. Be detail‑oriented, ensuring work is accurate and complete. Multi‑task and handle the movement of objects. Maintain a customer‑focused, positive, and professional attitude. Communicate orally and in writing in English. Use basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Stand for extended periods of time. Exercise flexibility in bending, stretching, twisting, or reaching. Lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 30 lb and often up to 15 lb. Be punctual with consistent attendance. Respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers, members of the business community, and/or regulatory agencies. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent GED (strong preferred). Equivalent experience may be substituted. Minimum of one year of work experience in events, banquets or restaurants (preferred). Must be at least eighteen years of age to serve alcoholic drinks. Strengthened by our Differences.
