Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr Location: Toronto, ON and Surrounding Areas Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage day‑to‑day field operations on civil infrastructure projects across Toronto and the GTA. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supervising crews, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of civil construction projects including roads, bridges, utilities, earthworks, and site development. Supervise field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work meets project plans, specifications, and quality standards. Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are met. Enforce health and safety policies, conducting regular site inspections to maintain a safe work environment. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to address challenges and resolve issues in the field. Track progress, prepare daily/weekly site reports, and maintain accurate project documentation. Ensure effective use of manpower, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiency. Lead site meetings and provide clear direction to crews and subcontractors. Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement on the job site. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience in civil construction, with at least 1 years in a Superintendent role. Strong knowledge of civil infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, utilities, earthworks). Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse crews and subcontractors. Proven ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts. Solid understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, and cost control. Commitment to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Proficiency in project management software and MS Office is an asset. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites across Toronto and surrounding areas. Competitive salary up to $130,000 and benefits package.
