Position Overview The Director – Transfer Pricing will report to the Senior Director – Global Tax Planning & Strategy and will lead Autodesk’s global transfer pricing function. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of transfer pricing, including strategy, planning, valuations, audit defense and global compliance. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a global transfer pricing team, providing mentorship, technical guidance and career development. Establish operational excellence, governance standards and scalable processes for all transfer pricing activities. Own and align the company’s global transfer pricing strategy with Autodesk’s functional and IP operating model. Partner with leaders in Finance, Legal and the business to develop deep business insights and understand how transfer pricing supports business objectives. Identify and evaluate new transfer pricing legislation globally, assessing potential impacts on the company. Anticipate future tax and transfer pricing challenges related to global expansion and business transformation. Develop and execute transfer pricing controversy strategy, providing audit support and preparing audit‑ready files. Support M&A activities, including preparing IP and legal entity valuations and reviewing intercompany transactions. Design, implement and maintain global intercompany policies and legal entity forecasting processes. Review intercompany agreements to ensure functional and economic substance accuracy. Oversee global transfer pricing compliance, including local files, master file, benchmarking studies and CbCR support. Develop internal controls for global intercompany transactions and operational transfer pricing processes. Drive a culture of accountability and excitement within the team, fostering a creative and innovative environment. Minimum Qualifications 12+ years of transfer pricing experience with significant exposure to planning, structuring and audit defense. Advanced degree (Master’s in Tax, Economics, Finance, JD/LLM) and CPA or equivalent is a plus. Experience leading transfer pricing in a multinational tech company. Experience integrating transfer pricing strategy into broader tax and business strategy. Deep knowledge of corporate tax, international tax research, compliance and consulting. Strong financial and economic analysis skills, including building financial valuation models. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, drafting intercompany agreements, audit responses and technical memos. Proven leadership experience managing teams and external advisors. Ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on detail.
