The Integrated Construction Services, Planning and Scheduling team supports the district operations through business process, software and expertise. This opportunity exposes the individual to Planning and Scheduling at PCL by assisting with the administration and management of our software solutions and the broadening of services that we provide to our operating groups. Here's how a Scheduling Systems Analyst for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team: Responsibilities Assist with the technical end user issues related to Primavera P6 and other planning and scheduling software. Management and maintenance of PCL’s P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (P6 EPPM) environment. Develop detailed requirements, use cases, and process maps to guide system design and configuration. Analyze current-state processes and systems to identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities for improvement in the future P6 environment. Evaluation of new software’s for planning, scheduling and lean processes. Technical training and support across multiple districts and sectors. Act as a liaison between the PCL family of Companies direct to external vendors. Collaborating with internal business technology and development teams on reporting and outputs. Participate in system testing (e.g., functional, integration, user acceptance testing) and support defect tracking and resolution. Contribute to training content development by providing subject matter expertise and mapping workflows. Help with go-live planning activities and provide post-implementation support to address issues, refine workflows, and optimize system use. Maintain project documentation, status reports, and risks/issues logs. Other related responsibilities as required. Qualifications 3-5 year’s experience in a business analyst or technical analyst role. Post-secondary education in information systems, information technology, business administration, commerce, computing science or a related field is required. Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset. Familiarity with scheduling concepts such as relationship logic, time impact analysis, critical path method, and float. Business Analysis, Data Analytics, Information Technology or equivalent work experience. Proficiency in data analytics tools and software (e.g., Visio, Excel, Power BI). Strong communication and visualization skills. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Experience in an enterprise system model, managing multiple users and environments. Knowledge of Primavera P6 (Web and Professional) is an asset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
