We are urgently seeking locum Family Physicians to provide full-scope primary and urgent care at Texada Island Health Centre, serving a population of about 1,100. This is a unique solo practice opportunity in a beautiful rural island community. Locum dates can be customized to suit your availability starting September to December 31, 2025. Your support would make a significant difference for the community, and we would be truly grateful for your assistance. What We Offer Clinic Hours Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm; closed on statutory holidays. Full‑day and half‑day clinic shifts available, offering flexibility to work 3 to 4.5 days per week, including options for in‑person and virtual patient visits. Emergency transfers supported by BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS). Join a supportive network of CME, primary care integration through qathet Division of Family Practice. Your Role Provide comprehensive primary and urgent care services. Assess and diagnose a broad range of acute and chronic conditions. Initiate appropriate treatments and interventions. Provide professional guidance to other health professionals and participate autonomously as a member of the interdisciplinary health teams. Travel & Expense Coverage Accommodation can be provided.
