**Job Title: Ground Support Equipment Mechanic****Job Description**As a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of ground support equipment through meticulous inspections, maintenance, and repair. Your role will be crucial in maintaining high safety standards and ensuring seamless ground support operations.**Responsibilities**Conduct routine inspections of ground support equipment to identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.Perform pre-use checks to ensure equipment is in optimal condition for operational use.Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to manufacturer guidelines.Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs promptly.Collaborate with the maintenance team to address complex technical issues.Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair activities.Document inspection results and provide detailed reports on the condition of the equipment.Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry regulations and standards.Participate in safety training programs to stay updated on best practices and regulations.Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure the availability of necessary components for timely repairs.Pick up parts from suppliers as needed.Collaborate with other maintenance and operational teams to ensure seamless ground support operations.Provide technical support to other departments as necessary.**Essential Skills**5 years of mechanical experience with a Red Seal certification.Proven experience as a GSE Technician or in a similar role within the aviation industry.Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.Valid Class 5 driver''s License.**Additional Skills & Qualifications**Technical certification in equipment maintenance preferred.Electrical experience is an asset.Familiarity with aviation ground support equipment and its maintenance requirements.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.**Why Work Here?**Join a dynamic and supportive team dedicated to maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence.
