Join to apply for the Associate, Investments (Bilingual) role at Canada Infrastructure Bank/ Banque de l'infrastructure du Canada Headquartered in Toronto, the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) is responsible for investing in new infrastructure projects. The CIB’s mission is to work with provincial, territorial, municipal, federal, Indigenous, and private sector investor partners to transform the way infrastructure is planned, financed and delivered in Canada. The Associate, Investments (Bilingual) will be involved in all aspects of screening, due diligence, and execution of investment opportunities. Daily responsibilities will vary and include screening potential investment opportunities, performing moderately complex financial modelling, completing sector analysis and transaction due diligence, drafting of investment memoranda, and participating in investment decision‑making processes. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate or a post‑graduate degree with three to five years of relevant deal execution experience in principal investing, corporate finance, project finance, transaction advisory, investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting or related financial sector work. Your responsibilities include: Building complex financial models, project finance/infrastructure models, valuation analysis, corporate finance solutions and any additional financial analysis Leading due diligence work streams on transactions and/or advisory engagements Managing work streams related to the development of a new subsector for potential CIB investment, or a new investment product/approach for an existing subsector Assisting with project development (coordinate data with clients, assist with the presentation of new ideas to clients, tracking progress) Preparing and presenting investment analysis, investment memos, proposals and pitchbooks Acting as a trusted contact to clients and taking an active role in client facing conversations to advance a transaction or advisory mandate Collecting and analyzing industry research and trends Coaching and mentoring junior team members The ideal profile: 3 to 5 years of corporate finance, project finance, transaction advisory, investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting, or related financial sector work Ability to build complex financial models and perform quantitative analysis Industry experience combined with a financial, fiscal and legal understanding of the infrastructure industry Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross‑functional teams and externally Able to clearly and effectively articulate complex concepts both in writing and verbally Strong desire to live our values of: Make it better for Canada, Celebrate our difference, Be the best of public and private, and Break new ground. Excellent organizational and priority management skills Sense of initiative, entrepreneurial spirit CFA and/or a professional accounting designation considered an asset Must be fluently bilingual in English and French, both oral and written We thank you for your interest.
