Skyline Recruitment is actively seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant / Project Leader for a well-established environmental consulting firm based in Toronto . This boutique firm is composed of highly experienced geoscientists, engineers, and environmental scientists specializing in environmental and earth sciences.
The Senior Environmental Consultant will play a key leadership role, managing environmental, geotechnical, and hydrogeological site assessments . This position involves overseeing projects of varying complexity, ranging from $10K to $1M+ , while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of multi-disciplinary environmental projects
- Manage client relationships and project expectations
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Develop scopes of work, proposals, and technical reports
- Mentor and support junior and field staff
- Stay up to date with Ontario regulations, industry best practices, and emerging environmental policies
- Represent the company at conferences and industry events to enhance professional expertise and company visibility
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Geotechnical Engineering
- P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation is an asset
- Minimum 8 years of experience in environmental consulting
- Strong knowledge of Ontario environmental regulations and standards
- Experience conducting geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations
- Expertise in Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), O.Reg. 153/04, and O.Reg. 406/19 (Excess Soil Management)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and client service mindset
