Join BMO as a Product Manager – Home Financing to lead the broker channel strategy and drive market‑leading growth for mortgages. Key Responsibilities Manage P&L for mortgage broker channel, ensuring business plan expectations are achieved. Build and nurture relationships with external broker partners and internal stakeholders across Analytics, Sales & Marketing, Distribution, Treasury, Product Ops, and Risk. Lead product policy and pricing strategy to differentiate BMO’s broker channel and support stable, predictable performance. Own product lifecycle: requirements, feature prioritisation, launches, and continuous improvement. Collaborate cross‑functionally to optimise customer experience, fee pricing, and non‑interest revenue streams. Drive process, technology, and compliance initiatives across the pipeline to enhance quality and efficiency. Monitor market, customer, and financial metrics and present insights and recommendations to senior leadership. Product Management & Development Provide product expertise, analyzing market and financial drivers to shape features and benefits. Deliver solutions aligned with personal banking strategy, enabling quicker, smoother sales and servicing. Prioritise rationalisation and simplification to differentiate offerings while meeting customer needs. Plan and execute legacy product migrations, balancing cost, simplicity and customer satisfaction. Develop and implement end‑to‑end distribution strategies for the broker channel. Maintain and improve product systems, processes, and documentation to support launches and enhancements. Monitor competitive positioning and adjust product offerings to maintain relevance. Contribute to pricing structure, balancing feature, price, and competitive dynamics. Act as subject matter expert on systems performance and interface with development teams. Assess and manage interest‑rate impacts across the product suite. Governance & Risk Management Identify, measure, and mitigate product‑level risk, escalating material issues to leadership. Advance analytical approaches and streamline risk management via technology and process improvements. Lead compliance for the portfolio, navigating regulatory and legal environments. Maintain a risk‑based pricing capability, integrating credit and market risk into margin pricing. Advises on impacts of product decisions on investment, liquidity, capital, and pricing. Define governance and compliance oversight to support executive accountability. Analytics & Reporting Track current and forecasted growth metrics for balances and profitability. Conduct regular analytics – revenue, balance, market share – to inform strategies. Collaborate with analytics and insights teams on campaign and program performance. Support quantitative reporting for key initiatives. Evaluate post‑campaign effectiveness. Key Accountabilities Product management, research, strategy, and documentation. Program and campaign development with marketing databases. Customer lifecycle management and segmentation. Financial, product, and channel results monitoring. Risk management and regulatory compliance. Product policies and procedures, assessment, and advisory. Channel optimisation and business‑model enhancement. Cross‑Functional Relationships Distribution (broker & other channels) Corporate marketing & communications Customer & product analytics Risk, compliance & legal Technology & operations (product ops) Portfolio management Personal sales force effectiveness Finance, accounting and corporate treasury Knowledge & Skills Product management specific to home financing. Real‑estate finance and broker relationship experience a strong asset. Financial services/mortgage industry knowledge a strong asset. Consumer/commercial credit experience a strong asset. Risk management, process coordination and regulatory awareness. Strong cross‑functional collaboration and relationship building. Strategic, analytical thinking, P&L management and financial modelling. Problem‑solving, time management, negotiation and influencing. Project or programme management and advanced Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel. Proficiency in MS Power BI, SQL and SAS. Qualifications Advanced knowledge of home financing and related industry. University degree in business, commerce, data sciences, engineering, finance or mathematics (graduate level preferred); or 5‑7 years of product management/consulting experience. Expertise in MS Power BI, SQL and SAS. Salary and Compensation Pay range: $69,000–$129,000 (salaried). Total compensation includes performance incentives, discretionary bonuses, and benefits such as health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident & life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
