Work Location : Halifax (Hybrid Onsite)
Must have :
- Proven work experience as a Database developer with advanced proficiency in SQL programming.
- 5+ years engineering of enterprise grade Database systems such as SQL Server, or Sybase.
- Minimum 2 years hands on experience with SSIS (SSRS and SSAS would be a plus) – Design, develop, automate,
- and support complex applications to extract, transform, load data, and ensure data quality.
- In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring).
- Experience in creating and enhancing data solutions enabling seamless delivery of data, with focus on collecting,
- parsing, managing and analyzing large sets of data
- Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications.
- An ability to understand front-end users requirements and a problem-solving attitude.
- Exceptional critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent analytical, organization skills, verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-have :
- Cloud Database knowledge of platforms like Azure, Nutanix, Kubernetes, Docker, or Openshift.
- BI development experience (Tableau)
- Developer mindset with skill in Python, Ansible, or C/C++.
- Experience with Open source Databases such as MySQL etc., In-memory caches, Key-Value Databases and Graph Databases.
- Certificate in Database Development.
