Overview

Beutel, Goodman & Company Ltd. (BG) is seeking an AVP, Institutional Marketing, to serve our three client channels (Institutional, Private Client Group and Managed Assets (advisors), with a focus on institutional client service and business development. In this role, the successful candidate will provide the client service teams with business development assistance, compiling quantitative and qualitative data to respond to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), and to assist the Client Service teams in client reporting such as Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs). The candidate will also lead the team that is BG's "source of truth" for all messaging across the company, in consultant databases and in other marketing material.

Responsibilities

Management

·      Lead the RFP team, which currently consists of 2 direct reports

·      Manage and mentor the RFP team members, ensuring their professional development and growth within the Team and Company

RFPs / RFIs

·      Respond to all RFPs, RFIs and DDQs from prospective clients and consultants

·      Manage the RFP process from sourcing to submission including collaboration with Sales Teams (Institutional, Managed Assets, Private Client Group), SMEs, ESG team, Compliance, etc.

Consultant Databases

·      Audit and maintain all qualitative and quantitative information on consultant databases including eVestment, Morningstar, and others

·      Liaise with eVestment Omni and various consultant data teams to ensure the accuracy and consistency of BG data

Content Management

·      Maintain the firm's content management platform and ensure messaging is complete and up to date across all content sets (product-specific, ESG, corporate, operations, etc.)

·      Reach out to SMEs to update their content regularly

·      Ensure messaging across all marketing materials is regularly reviewed to maintain consistency

·      Conduct training for new users on the content management platform

Requirements

·      Post-secondary education

·      At least five years of industry experience in a similar role, with a clear understanding of the investment management business to respond to complex RFPs

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·      Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

·      Ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task under tight deadlines

·      Familiarity with consultant databases, as well as eVestment and Mercer analytics platforms; experience working with Omni to update databases is an asset

·      Strong personal initiative combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·      Team player with a positive attitude

·      Bilingualism (English/French) would be an asset

·      Enrollment in or achievement of a CFA designation is preferred but not essential
