Student, Cyber Security Analyst

**Location:**Calgary, Alberta As a Student, Cyber Security, you will work alongside a team of IT professionals to support and enhance AER’s cyber security engineering and delivery practices. This role involves assisting with the operation and improvement of AER’s cyber security infrastructure while gaining hands-on experience in a complex, fast-paced enterprise environment. You will collaborate with various AER business branches and contribute to IT security incident detection, prevention, and response efforts, helping to protect AER’s systems and business operations from evolving security threats. Knowledge of Microsoft Security Suite products is an asset; familiarity with MD-ATP and MS Sentinel is considered an advantage. Knowledge of computer network and host-based vulnerabilities (Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, network architecture). Strong working knowledge of Operating Systems principles and technologies.Demonstrated experience in administration of remote network endpoints where there is little to no assistance at the remote end.Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new tools and frameworks. This role has a business requirement to work from Calgary Head Office.
