Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, Accounts Payable, the Accounts Payable Advisor is responsible for supporting facility managers and supporting office employees with all accounts payable processes, capital vouchers and employee expense related issues and payments, proactively identifying opportunities to improve, develop and maintain procedures for payable processes.

This position will be based at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario, with flexibility for in-office work as part of our hybrid work model.

Accountabilities

  • Invoice processing in Ascend and Workday, validating information is accurate
  • Support and train site level managers with accounts payable processes
  • Demonstrate exemplary customer service
  • Develop and maintain strong and healthy relationships with internal and external customers
  • Timely and accurate processing of accounts payable related activities
  • Timely and accurate responses to all vendor inquiries, residence AP related issues and Manager
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are followed in compliance with our internal controls
  • Review processes and identify improvements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Completion of Post-Secondary Education in finance or accounting field.
  • 2-3 years of Accounts Payable experience.
  • Experience with Workday will be strongly preferred.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume and fast paced environment.
  • Team player with ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with mid-level Excel skills.
