Product Manager, IoT Modems

Product Manager, IoT Modems & Modules Join ORBCOMM as a Product Manager in the Satellite IoT division. You will lead the modem and module product portfolio, owning the full product lifecycle from requirements definition and technical collaboration to launch and long‑term support. What You’ll Do Drive Product Strategy & Roadmaps: Define and maintain the roadmap for satellite and cellular hardware solutions, aligning with customer needs, market trends, and business priorities. Lead Product Lifecycle: Own product development from concept through launch; define scope, balance timelines and cost, and collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, operations, sales, and support. Engage with Customers & Partners: Serve as the voice of the customer, working with strategic accounts and partners to ensure solutions address real‑world challenges. Champion Execution: Act as the primary product lead across cross‑functional teams to convert customer insight into requirements and drive execution through agile development cycles. Identify New Opportunities: Develop go‑to‑market strategies and build new MNO/MVNO distribution channels for ORBCOMM’s satellite products. Deliver Competitive Insights: Analyze industry and competitor offerings to refine product differentiation and support business decisions. Enable Sales & Field Teams: Provide expert support during sales engagements, customer pilots, and technical evaluations. Support Product Marketing: Collaborate with Marketing and Product leaders to shape product positioning and messaging, including documentation, training, and launch materials. Who You Are Experienced Leader: 7+ years of product management in hardware, embedded systems, or IoT, with at least 5 years managing cross‑functional development and launch. IoT & Connectivity Expert: Strong knowledge of the IoT ecosystem, especially cellular and satellite connectivity technologies and business models. Strategic Thinker & Doer: Proven success translating customer and market needs into technical requirements and roadmaps that drive adoption and revenue. Clear Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Collaborative Partner: Enjoys working closely with engineering, operations, sales, and external partners in a fast‑paced environment. Organized & Action‑Oriented: Strong planning, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills; capable of managing multiple workstreams with competing priorities. Digital & AI Fluent: Ability to leverage AI‑enabled tools and automation to enhance productivity, with a commitment to continuous learning in digital marketing and AI literacy. Willing to Travel: Able to travel internationally up to 10‑20% as needed.
