We are seeking a Senior Sterling File Gateway (SFG) Developer to lead the design, implementation, and support of secure B2B file transfer solutions using IBM Sterling File Gateway, Connect:Direct, and related protocols. This role requires deep technical proficiency in file-based integrations and secure data exchange frameworks. You will be responsible for developing robust and scalable integrations between internal systems and external trading partners, while ensuring adherence to enterprise security and compliance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain secure file transfer solutions using IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and Connect:Direct Configure routing rules, communication protocols (SFTP, HTTP/S, MQ, API, AS2), and trading partner configurations Manage onboarding processes for new partners, including certificate and key management Troubleshoot file transfer issues and ensure timely resolution of incidents Perform Sterling environment maintenance, upgrades, and patching Collaborate with internal business units and external trading partners to gather and implement file transfer requirements Maintain technical documentation including system configurations and process flows Ensure all integrations comply with security, audit, and governance policies Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers and support personnel Technical ProfileIBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) Connect:Direct IBM Control Center File transfer protocols: SFTP, HTTP/S, MQ, AS2 Routing rules and code lists in SFG Certificate/key management and encryption techniques File encryption/decryption standards Monitoring and alerting frameworks Cloud deployment experience (AWS, Azure preferred) Functional ProfileStrong communication and coordination across business and technical teams Excellent problem-solving and incident resolution capabilities Ability to manage partner relationships and expectations Commitment to maintaining high system reliability and security standards Experience in leading integration solution delivery from requirements to deployment Familiarity with audit, compliance, and change management in enterprise environments Skills SummaryCore Expertise:Secure B2B File Transfer, SFG Routing Rules, Partner Onboarding, Certificate ManagementCloud & ContainerizationAWS, Azure (for SFG deployments)Database & MessagingIBM MQDevOps & CI/CDExperience with integration CI/CD pipelines and related DevOps tools (preferred)Other Tools & TechnologiesIBM Control Center, Sterling Secure Proxy, Connect:Direct, File Encryption ToolsSoft SkillsAnalytical Thinking, Communication, Documentation, Collaboration, Technical Mentorship, Compliance AwarenessThe pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $49.83/hour - $77.86/hour.
