CGC Inc. is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer Co‑Op (Student) for our facility, based in Calgary, Alberta. It is a temporary full‑time position offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate leadership ability and expertise in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation. Responsibilities Monitor day‑to‑day process activity and recommend improvements to maximize efficiency and productivity, including waste, speed, delay and raw material usage. Coordinate, implement and standardize manufacturing and warehouse process improvements. Support new technology and processes and implement trial plans. Lead cross‑functional teams assembled to address process variability. Incorporate safety into all aspects of the department and ensure safe working conditions during all activities associated within the manufacturing environment. Qualifications Registered engineering degree program. Strong analytical skills, understanding of data collection, statistics and the relationship among process functions. Advanced problem‑solving techniques such as SPC, control charts, Pareto charts, process cycle time, fishbone diagrams, flowcharting and process balancing. Strong communication and leadership skills to foster cross‑functional corrective action activity. Self‑starter with excellent organizational skills to handle multiple activities.
