About the Role As a Site Methods Engineer – Steel Structures for a Canadian SMR project in Ontario, you will support the client’s Technical Manager with erection sequencing and resolution of site problems for the modular steel‑concrete reactor building civil structures during the construction phase, which began in early 2025. Key Responsibilities Plan and execute the sequence of steel‑concrete modules, maintaining and reviewing the schedule for accuracy from design release to construction. Review potential changes for impact on execution sequence and contribute to impact assessment reports. Produce detailed method statements for the erection of modules, including any required temporary works. Provide input into calculation notes performed by design engineers. Assist with resolution of fabrication and construction NCRs. Participate in design and constructability reviews. Participate in action/recovery plans to address schedule performance issues. Identify risks across the scope of work. Contribute lessons learned. Attend meetings to support the client as requested. Coordinate prerequisite and execution task readiness, including schedule and risk reviews with construction management, quality, procurement, and subcontractors. Conduct regular field tours to verify work progress and meet with project site personnel. Regulatory & Licensing Alignment Awareness of Canadian regulatory and licensing requirements is preferred. Communications Represent Egis to the client, developing and maintaining clear communication lines and promoting Egis capabilities. Coordinate with the back‑office technical team in France for intervention and knowledge transfer when appropriate. Coordinate with the back‑office team in Canada for Canadian regulatory matters if needed. Provide feedback and capture return of experience. Safety Culture Practice and implement the nuclear safety culture established on the project. Qualifications & Experience University degree in Civil, Structural, Nuclear, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 5 to 15 years of relevant experience in site works related to steel or steel‑concrete structures. Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation in good standing. Experience in the nuclear field preferred; Canadian nuclear experience is a bonus. Experience with Canadian codes and standards preferred. Working knowledge of ASME welding is an asset.
