Overview The Engineering Services Department at AtkinsRéalis is currently looking for a Design Lead – Fire Protection to support a Nuclear project. As our team continues to grow, we are opening this opportunity for this unique leadership position. This is a regular full‑time permanent position based in Toronto or Ottawa. Your role Lead and coordinate a team of fire protection engineers and specialists for all fire protection activities. Maintain accountability of the commitment to project deliverables. Client‑facing interface with project stakeholders (installers, owners, authority having jurisdiction). Provide technical guidance for various disciplines across the project as it relates to fire protection. Moderate technical meetings. Travel to project sites and AtkinsRéalis offices located in the Toronto area. About you Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a diploma in fire protection engineering technology or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of fire protection engineering. Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with PEO. Certification from an Engineering Association is an asset. Expert knowledge of NBCC, NFCC, CSA N293, NFPA, and ULC standards. Good understanding of fire protection systems (fire alarm and suppression). Ability to receive and maintain a federal security clearance and a valid driving license.
