Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr Opportunity ZE Power Engineering is an innovative industry leading company that provides engineering services to the electric utility industry. We are currently seeking an individual as a Distribution Technologist/Engineer in administrative tasks and provide support to the company. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a great team environment at a fast-growing company. Responsibilities Design new and replacement infrastructure for electrical utility underground systems at Distribution voltages. Review existing building vault and utility infrastructure. Prepare layouts, conceptual designs, calculations, illustrations and independent checks. Use computer-aided design methods to solve problems and prepare drawings. Prepare design markups to the drafting group in order to assist in the development of an engineered drafted drawing. Consult as required with the Professional of Record and action changes as directed. Interface with other design disciplines, coordinate with related stakeholders, project managers and managers. Interact with clients, consultants and contractors on a continual basis. Conduct site visits in order to verify existing site conditions, meet stakeholders or oversee construction. Support documentation process for projects including technical specifications, tender documents, technical reports and project calculations. Willing to assist in a variety of project support activities including project coordination, estimating, strategic planning, client support, and business analysis supporting the business development and project management departments. Qualifications Post Secondary diploma or degree from a recognized electrical technology or engineering institution. Experience with Distribution Electrical Utility or Building Electrical design. Class 5 driver's license. Required: 2+ Years of relevant design or engineering experience. Engineering degree and registration with EGBC. Experience designing BCH Distribution systems is a strong asset. Experience with distribution voltage customer vault design is a strong asset.
