About the Role In this role, the Regional Executive Director (RED), Vancouver Island has an exciting opportunity to contribute to FNHA’s mission to support BC First Nations individuals, families and communities to achieve and enjoy the highest level of health and wellness. In this position, you will work closely with, and report to, the VPRO to provide executive, strategic and operational leadership to the FNHA Regional and Family Based Teams, including regional quality, cultural safety and family based operations and support services, including but not limited to family based programs and services of Public Health and Emergency Management, Mental Health and Wellness, Nursing, Maternal, Child and Family Wellness, Community Engagement and Development and associated program and service supports. This role will work in collaboration with family based, regional and provincial teams and departments to provide region wide leadership and executive oversight to family‑based engagement and operations responsibilities, including all associated programs, services and support services. In this important work, the Regional Executive Director will provide leadership and supervision to staff members including family directors, managers and specialists associated with Partnership Accord implementation, quality and cultural safety at a regional level. Title Regional Executive Director, Vancouver Island Salary $141,038 - $165,927 - $190,817 per year (pay range explained below) Contract Permanent Hours 8:30am – 4:30pm (core hours 9am‑3pm Monday‑Friday) Location Vancouver Island Region About You – Job Specifications Master’s Degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered; Member of a regulated professional college is considered an asset (i.e. Nursing, Social Work, Psychology etc.); Recent, relevant and significant experience in providing strategic leadership to health operations in a regional setting (usually acquired over a period of 10 or more years); Recent, relevant and significant senior management experience in First Nations Health (usually acquired over a period of 10 or more years); Experience working with First Nations people at a community and/or political level including work in the area community/organizational development and health and wellness; Relevant experience in leading transformation and integration. The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours. Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements. The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.
