We are seeking a talented professional to join our team as a Mechanical Proto Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and prototyping of Next Generation Network Routing equipment, utilizing your expertise in 3D printing and mechanical engineering. Your contributions will directly impact the creation of innovative solutions that drive the future of networking technology. Qualifications Technologist/technician degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related field. Experience in 3D printing technologies, including knowledge of various printing processes, materials, and design considerations. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and ability to create detailed drawings and specifications. Experience with CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, for creating 3D models and assemblies. Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques and an understanding of the design‑for‑manufacturing process. Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize mechanical designs. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a cross‑functional team environment. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends. Responsibilities Support the design and development of mechanical prototypes for Next Generation Network Routing equipment. Utilize 3D printing technology to create functional prototypes and test fixtures. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including hardware, software, and systems engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components. Conduct thorough testing and validation of mechanical designs, identifying and resolving any issues or improvements. Maintain and manage the 3D printing lab equipment (SLA, FDM, Plotters, CNC PCB Router,…) ensuring optimal performance and efficient utilization of resources. Develop and document standard operating procedures for 3D printing processes, ensuring consistency and quality. Stay updated with the latest advancements in 3D printing technology and materials, and explore their potential applications in networking equipment.
