We are Making Sustainability Happen.As our new **Senior Acoustics Consultant****,** you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal. **Role**As our new **Senior Acoustics Consultant** with a passion for working on architectural related projects, you will play your part to contribute to our global acoustics and vibration team’s vision to be the world’s most trusted and innovative authority in acoustics and vibration consulting, recognized for delivering exceptional results that shape environments where sound and vibration enhance the world.In this position, you’ll work closely with other acoustic consultants/engineers on a diverse array of private and public sector clients across North America. Whether you’re working on new and retrofit projects for noise and vibration control, conducting field measurements, or leading the development of new sound and vibration models, you’ll feel good knowing your work will positively impact people for years to come.We work in most areas of acoustics and vibration including building design/architectural, environmental and underwater acoustics.**Responsibilities*** Lead acoustics and vibration assessments and provide design input on challenging projects across sectors, including, residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, justice, education, performance venues, and community.* Conduct environmental noise and vibration evaluations, sound and vibration monitoring for construction, baseline condition assessments, and complaint investigations.* Day-to-day experience is dependent on the nature of projects within the business at the time but typically include:* *Managing complex projects, maintaining schedules and budgets, including coordination across disciplines and with clients.** *Preparing and reviewing technical reports and proposals, maintaining schedules and a high level of quality.** *Driving business development initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, and strengthening SLR’s market presence in acoustics and vibration consulting.** *Mentoring and training team members, fostering technical excellence and professional growth at all levels*.**Working @ SLR**With us, there is no doubt you’ll grow your subject-matter expertise and industry knowledge. We want to be a place where you can experience career growth and satisfaction for many years.**Here’s what else you’ll enjoy as part of our team:**· Competitive total compensation package including comprehensive benefits, vacation, and a suite of wellness initiatives· Full-time, permanent role with opportunities for professional growth and advancement**Qualifications/Education/Memberships:*** Minimum 10 years of experience in consulting with a strong focus on architectural / building acoustics.* Thought Leader with expertise on the fundamentals and approaches used to measure, predict and evaluate acoustics, noise and vibration.* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, acoustics or related fields.* Professional Engineering designation (Ontario or other provinces) preferred; equivalent credentials considered.* Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships at a senior level.* Staff training and mentoring experience is expected as part of the role.* Experience with sound and vibration modeling and computational software (e.g., CadnaA, SoundPLAN, CATT, Odeon or EASE, SAP, Insul, Strutt, MATLAB, etc.).* Driven to exceed expectations and push for excellence.* Highly organized, adaptable, and innovative with a track record of delivering high-quality solutions.* Excellent and confident written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.* Must be able to live and work in Canada, and preferably to the US for occasional project work as required.SLR strives to build diverse teams that reflect the communities we work in, and encourages applications from traditionally underrepresented groups including women, visible minorities, Indigenous peoples, people identifying as 2SLGBTQI+, veterans, and people with disabilities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
