Grade and sort farm produce using hand tools while supporting physically demanding agricultural work with careful hand-eye coordination.
This Farm Worker position focuses on preparing fruits and vegetables for market. Duties include grading produce by size, shape, colour, and volume, examining quality and readiness, and sorting products. The work also includes greenhouse cleaning, seed cutting, weeding, and cleaning work areas. You will load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grade fruits and vegetables by size, shape, colour, and volume
- Examine produce quality and readiness for market
- Sort fruits and vegetables into appropriate groups
- Complete greenhouse cleaning, seed cutting, and weeding
- Load, unload, and transfer crates and farm supplies
Requirements:
- Experience using hand tools
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Strong hand-eye coordination for produce handling
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel
- Ability to handle loads up to 23 kilograms
Support market-ready produce through grading, quality examination, sorting, and careful agricultural material handling.
