Geriatric Psychiatrist Location: Abbotsford, Maple Ridge, Mission (Rapid Access Clinic, Psychiatric Urgent Response Clinic, ER on-call duties, ECT on-call rotation, general adult psychiatry 1 day/week Abbotsford, 0.5 day/week Mission) Fraser Health is the heart of health care for over two million people in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Responsibilities Provide exceptional care to patients with acquired brain injuries and older adults served by the Fraser Health Geriatric Mental Health team. Consult with geriatric psychiatrists at the mental health center and actively engage in outreach to patients' residences. Collaborate with attending physicians in Assisted Living and Long-Term Care facilities. Conduct assessment, outpatient treatment, consultation, family meetings, case conferences, discharge planning, and impart knowledge to geriatric psychiatry residents and medical students. Ensure continuity of care by fostering strong collaborative relationships with all relevant partners involved in patient care and advocating for the psychiatric needs of individual patients. Participate in the ECT roster and ER on-call duties (mandatory). Employment Type Full-time, mid-senior level. #J-18808-Ljbffr
