Support safe learning spaces at Northern College as a General Maintenance Worker using building maintenance and grounds equipment skills in Timmins.
Reporting to the Manager, Facilities and Maintenance, this full-time leave replacement role supports timely repairs, maintenance, and services. The work includes grounds keeping, building finish repairs, minor plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration maintenance, equipment operation, and safety inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove snow and mow lawns across college grounds
- Operate tractors, walk-behind equipment, and vehicles
- Repair drywall, floors, ceilings, windows, doors, and caulking
- Perform minor plumbing and routine equipment maintenance
- Inspect fire, emergency, first aid, and eyewash equipment monthly
Requirements:
- One-year certificate in a relevant or related field
- At least two years' large building maintenance experience
- Ability to operate grounds equipment and small hand tools
- Valid Class G driver's licence
- WHMIS and First Aid, CPR, and AED
Apply your carpentry, plumbing, welding, and troubleshooting skills maintaining Northern College facilities and supporting student and staff safety.
