About the role:

As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer on the AI Agent team at Cresta, you will join a pioneering group at the cutting edge of artificial intelligence technologies. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence our strategic direction and product development, particularly within our AI Agent interfaces. You will be tasked with designing and implementing the frontend architecture of Cresta's proprietary AI Agent platform, ensuring that it delivers a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Your work will be crucial in creating visually appealing and highly functional interfaces that enable users to interact with complex AI systems effortlessly. By focusing on user-centric design, you will solve some of the most challenging problems in AI today, helping to create solutions that not only mimic human interaction but enhance it with the speed and efficiency of AI. What you'll do:
  • Play a substantial role in the Cresta Virtual Agents engineering team.
  • Work with Cresta product and engineering teams, build and continuously improve the Cresta platform to support new product requirements.
  • Stay closely with customers and their requirements, analyze the technical tradeoffs, own the customer facing deliverables.
  • Develop high quality, well designed, reusable, and well-tested system components, and contribute to the overall system designs.
  • Optimize the platform design and implementation for lower latency, higher throughput, better reliability, and cost reduction.
  • Demonstrate the engineering best practices in deliverables and daily work. Uphold others to the same high standards.
  • Grow into technical ownership in a substantial part of the Cresta product and platform.
  • Contribute to building the best-in-class company in addition to building the best-in-class product.
What we look for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in frontend development, with a proven track record of building scalable and responsive web applications.
  • Expertise in defining and consuming robust APIs, with a strong understanding of protocols such as gRPC, Websockets and REST.
  • Deep understanding of the modern frontend ecosystem, with hands-on experience in React.js and modern CSS frameworks.
  • Experience with TypeScript is essential for developing intuitive user interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Cresta's tech stack, including Golang, Python, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, and Temporal, is advantageous.
  • Experience with virtual agent and AI agent technologies is preferred, highlighting a background in building interfaces that interact with complex AI systems.
  • Proficient in designing responsive and efficient user interfaces, with a keen understanding of how backend performance impacts frontend experience.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools, test automation, and implementing monitoring and logging solutions to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Commitment to writing comprehensive unit tests and maintaining high standards of code quality and documentation.
