About the Role Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Insurance Defence Legal Assistant to support their litigation practice. You’ll manage litigation files from first notice of loss through to trial and/or resolution, collaborating closely with lawyers, insurers, and experts. Key Responsibilities Draft and file court materials (Statements of Defence, Notices of Examination, Motions, etc.) Prepare pleadings, review disclosure, manage timelines and discovery Maintain files, organize documents, update matter statuses in practice management system Liaise with key stakeholders within the firm Requirements 1–2 years’ experience in insurance-defence litigation (Ontario jurisdiction) Strong MS Office, e-filing, case management software proficiency Excellent written/verbal communication and time-management skills Collaborative, adaptable, highly organized, and keen attention to detail What They Offer Hybrid work model: 2 days per week in our Toronto office, 3 days remote Supportive, collaborative team culture Competitive benefits and ongoing professional development To be considered and/or learn more, apply to this link
