About the Role The Vice President, National Sales, will develop and execute the business development strategy to generate new capital sources within the Family Office and Institutional space, educating and developing advisor knowledge of Lankin investment solutions. A key driver in this role to garner interest from firms leading to business relationships and further approvals of investment funds on shelve. Success is measured by generating strong capital raise results, building long-lasting relationships, and having the aptitude to work alongside like-minded motivated professionals. The successful candidate is a natural sales leader, confident and professional with extremely strong and independent presentation capabilities. This individual will be the face of Lankin Investments with capital partners across Canada, US, and overseas. Responsibilities Sales Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to meet and exceed sales targets, consistent with overall business strategies. Network Building: Seek out and generate new IIROC firms and Advisor/PM prospects to cultivate capital raising channels, directly bringing in new business. Business Building: Take a consultative approach with IIROC and EMD partners to provide value-add defined strategies to help grow their business and promote the sale of Lankin investment funds. Presentations & Roadshows: Deliver compelling presentations and attend Firm/Advisor conferences, Industry Roadshows and Networking Events, and being a face to Lankin Investments to capturing new capital sources. Collaboration: Work closely with the firm’s leadership, marketing and Investment Teams to align sales strategies with business initiatives and strategic objectives. Market Intelligence: Strong knowledge of IIROC, exempt market dealer, and institutional sales management with a track record of applying the knowledge. Strong knowledge of and experience in IIROC space is a must. Partnership: Working alongside the President – Capital Markets to develop succinct plans, setting performance targets, and tangible KPI’s for a measured success approach. Qualifications Canadian Investment background is a requirement. Minimum of 7+ years of experience in capital markets/investment distribution sales, with a focus on real estate funds or related private market investments. Proven track record of capital raising success and building strong referral networks. A valid drivers license and passport – this role will involve travel at greater than 50%. Strong business acumen in business development, relationship management, entrepreneurial mindset and a bottom-line orientation. Extremely strong presentation skills, with experience delivering high-impact presentations to retail investors. Extensive and meaningful relationships established within the Canadian investment and wealth management industry. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Knowledge of the real estate market is strongly preferred.
