This dynamic team ensures the quality and performance of cutting-edge software and hardware, preparing solutions for seamless integration by our Software Integration and Product Verification team.**How You Will Contribute:** As a Software Tools Developer Intern, contribute to the development of innovative tools to analyze code scan results and apply machine learning algorithms to evaluate test results for leading-edge photonics software on the RLS platform.* Automate JIRA raising and processing using tools such as Blackduck and Coverity.* Design and develop data mining tools (backend and GUI) for hardening and robustness test result analysis.* Implement test suites based on insights from data mining tools.* Create Jenkins projects for automated test executions.* Generate reports for streamlined human review.**The Must Haves:*** Enrollment in a degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.* Foundational knowledge of Python.* Strong interest in AI and Machine Learning.* Excellent written and oral communication skills.* Enthusiastic, self-motivated, team-oriented, problem-solving mindset with the ability to multi-task effectively.**Nice to Haves:*** Experience with JavaScript and BASH.* Familiarity with design, development, and test tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, and Jenkins.**Pay Range:** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
