Overview Merit Ontario is a construction association supporting small to large construction companies with workforce needs across Ontario. Our talent specialists provide recruitment services and customized solutions to find quality candidates. Our member Terresky is looking for a Geospatial Data (Field & Analysis) based in the Toronto, ON region to join their team. This role is part-time, with the potential to grow into a full-time position. Job Title: Geospatial Data (Field & Analysis) Term: Full time Start Date: ASAP Salary Range: $22.00 - $27.50/hour Location: Hybrid (Active Field Sites and Remote/Office Data Processing) Company Overview Join the Terresky team, a leader utilizing world-class technology to bring complex environments—from construction sites to entire cities—directly to stakeholders through geospatial digital twins. Terresky leverages AI and computer vision to create immersive, virtual walkthroughs that enable remote monitoring, risk assessment, and collaborative decision-making. Our mission is to provide an "intelligence edge" by adding crucial geographic context to data, making projects safer and more efficient. Job Overview As a Geospatial Data Specialist at Terresky, you will bridge the gap between physical reality and digital analysis. You will spend approximately half of your time in the field as a Capture Specialist, collecting raw high-resolution data, and the remaining time using ArcGIS and other geospatial tools to process this data into dynamic digital twins. Responsibilities And Duties Field Data Collection: Walk active construction sites or urban environments weekly to capture 360-degree hi-res video and imagery of 100% of the site. Operate and maintain high-tech hardware, including 360-degree cameras, terrestrial lidar scanners, or drones. Initiate data transfer at the end of each collection day to ensure raw files are ready for processing. Adhere strictly to safety protocols, wearing all required PPE (hard hat, vest, glasses, boots, etc.) on-site. Data Processing & ArcGIS Analysis: Use ArcGIS Reality and ArcGIS GeoBIM to transform raw imagery and lidar point clouds into detailed 3D representations and digital twins. Integrate diverse datasets, including BIM (Building Information Modeling), GIS layers, and photogrammetry, into a central repository. Perform spatial and temporal analysis to forecast events, monitor changes over time, and identify patterns like "hot spots" for maintenance. Utilize AI and deep learning models to identify and sort objects within the visual data. Collaborate with Field Operations Managers to ensure processed models provide maximum contextual awareness for clients. Qualifications Technical Skills: Familiarity with ArcGIS software (Pro, Online, or GeoBIM) and an understanding of GIS technology. Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret architectural floor plans and blueprints. Communication & Accountability: Strong communication skills are imperative for independent work. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing site conditions or project requirements. Physical Requirements: Must be comfortable walking for extended periods in active construction environments. Perks Hands-on experience with cutting-edge reality capture and digital twin technology. Flexible schedule for data processing tasks. Exposure to various industries, including construction and urban planning. Mentorship from experts in AI, computer vision, and geospatial science. Disclaimer: Although Merit Ontario employs artificial intelligence enabled tools to conduct initial application screening based on job-related criteria, decisions about who progresses in the hiring process are always made by people. Only qualified candidates will be contacted. #J-18808-Ljbffr
