day, 5 days) Qualifications (Must Haves) 11+ years’ experience managing large complex projects 7+ years' experience with design and deployment of technical infrastructure projects 7+ years' experience with application development and deployment for both products and projects (SDLC) 7+ years' experience with large transformation projects related to moving products and services from data centers to the cloud (AWS and Azure) Expert in various project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) Experience in managing projects in healthcare sector or similar large‑scale industries Strong working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycles Demonstrated knowledge of project cost accounting principles and practices, and managing project budgets Demonstrated ability to deliver complex IT projects under challenging circumstances Superior leadership and communication skills to manage both team members and senior management Ability to build strong relationships with internal clients and external partners, clients, and vendors Acumen to resolve conflicts and problems at all levels with tact Well‑developed analytical skills with a keen eye for details Expertise in Microsoft suite of products such as Office, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Visio and SharePoint, and other productivity tools such as Jira and Confluence Technical knowledge/expertise gained through work experience as a developer or an architect is an asset Desired Skills Program and Portfolio management knowledge is an asset IT Infrastructure and ITIL experience is an asset DevOps expertise is an asset Knowledge/expertise of current technology trends is an asset Familiarity with legislation applicable to healthcare organizations such as PHIPA is an asset Technical knowledge/expertise gained Demonstrated ability to deliver complex IT projects under challenging circumstances 11+ years of project management experience delivering large-scale technology initiatives and complex IT solutions in a highly integrated setting Experience in managing projects in the healthcare sector Experience with large transformation projects related to moving products and services from data centers to the cloud (AWS and Azure) Responsibilities Accountable for on time, on budget, and on scope completion of assigned projects that are compliant with applicable external legislation and internal policies and processes including project governance framework and project management methodology, and provide feedback for continuous improvement as requested Responsible for managing the resources, scope, budget, schedule, and quality of deliverables of the assigned projects Establish and maintain excellent working relationship and effective communication with the Sponsor(s), internal and external partners, vendors and project team members Organize and lead project meetings Ensure effective project change control, including managing IT Requests for Change (RFCs) and deployments to the various environments, is in place Proactively identify and manage risks, and systematically resolve or elevate known issues Adhere to and promote Ontario Health policies and processes including Privacy, Security, and Record Management Manage release of the product/project/work package to an operational environment Evaluation Criteria Project Management Skills (60 Points) Strong working knowledge of the Project Management (Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid) Strong working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycles Demonstrated knowledge of project cost accounting principles and practices, and Experience with large transformation projects related to moving products and services from data centers to the cloud (AWS and Azure) Technical Skills (10 Points) IT Infrastructure and ITIL experience Knowledge/expertise of current technology trends Familiarity with legislation applicable to healthcare organizations such as PHIPA Technical knowledge/expertise gained through work experience as a developer or an architect Deep knowledge of design and deployment of technical infrastructure projects Deep knowledge of application development and deployment for both products and projects (SDLC) Deliverables Develop project documentation including charter, integrated project plan, project schedule, status reports, meeting notes and other project artifacts as required Issue project change requests (PCRs) as applicable in response to changes in scope, schedule, budget, and release strategy (for multi-release projects) Provide financial forecasts and track actual costs against the approved budget Build a roadmap for OH Data center migration to AWS that includes: Assess Data Center for workload migration – review and validate list of all VMs in the data centers Categorize this list by product and operational areas Add end of life information for servers to help with prioritization and sequencing Reach out to directors and managers to understand the plan of action and target dates: Migrate to AWS, Migrate to Azure, or Leave as is and decommission, etc. Build roadmap and sequence migration Build new cloud native architectures for each workload Work with product teams to track and report progress Report progress to executives and come up with innovative solutions to fast track migrations Notes Assignment Type: Hybrid – 3 days onsite, up to 5 days at Ontario Health’s discretion The term of this Engagement Assignment is 252 Business Days, with an option to extend for an additional 252 days at Ontario Health’s discretion. The Engagement Assignment may also be extended for unused Business Days at Ontario Health’s discretion. Resource will comply with Ontario Health policies and procedures. Ontario Health systems cannot be accessed from outside the province of Ontario, and Ontario Health assets including laptops and related equipment cannot be removed from the province of Ontario, without prior written approval from Ontario Health.
