Description To accurately and efficiently process all incoming orders and maximize sales. Directly responsible to resolve customer inquiries. Provides guidance to other Associates as required on delivery processes and initiatives. Responsibilities Maximizes sales opportunities with every customer by using current selling techniques and company programs. Required to pick orders from store stock and pack for delivery. Recognizes and communicates to management the need for support in completing daily orders. May be required to oversee the duties of other associates assisting in the delivery function. Develop and maintain an efficient filing system for all relevant paperwork while properly securing all customer information. All out going product is to be properly documented and labeled according to company standards. Follows all correct cash register operations using the designated register, Maintains SKU integrity and accurately inputs form of payment when processing transactions. Responsible for the monitoring of all delivery related supplies and advising management of any requirements. Selects the most cost-effective method of shipping customer orders. Training, coaching and development of associates. Provides coverage and assistance in all areas of the store where business needs require and as associate training supports. Properly secures all assets and physical inventory and follows all loss prevention and key control procedures. Has a complete understanding of all company policies and procedures related to this position, as outlined in the training checklist. Accountable to understand general company policies and provide guidance to staff as needed. Checks all sources of communication for information (white boards, bulletin boards, portal, etc). Identifies and communicates suggestions for improvements in all areas of business. Ensures general cleanliness of all areas, including receiving area, lunchroom and washrooms as assigned, according to company standards. Responsible for the safe and proper use of all store equipment and are required to inform management of any maintenance issues regarding the equipment. Promotes and maintains a safe working environment and follows all company protocols for safety and is required to report any unsafe working conditions to a manager. As per policy, required to have personal parcels (bags, totes, backpacks, purses, etc.) checked by a manager prior to leaving the store premises. Qualifications Basic Demonstrated leadership tendencies. Ability to resolve customer concerns in a diplomatic manner. Ability to engage customers in a friendly and professional manner. Capacity to communicate with customers effectively using a variety of mediums. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively and efficiently with a sense of urgency. Ability to make decisions related to all aspects of shipping and receiving that supports company guidelines and makes good business sense. Can engage appropriately and work as part of a team. Capacity to work independently and seek out assistance as required. Preferred: Experience 3 months to 1 year of previously related experience is preferred.
