We are seeking a Senior Wireless Network Configuration Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions for wireless network operations. This role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing manual intervention, and enabling data‑driven decision‑making across LTE, 5G, and CORE wireless networks. The ideal candidate combines deep wireless technology expertise with advanced programming and automation skills to streamline configuration, monitoring, and optimisation processes. The position also requires leadership in mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with vendors and multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Design and implement automation workflows for wireless network configuration, provisioning, and performance monitoring. Develop scripts and tools using Python and integrate with APIs for network elements and OSS platforms. Utilise ETL tools for data preparation and analytics. Build and maintain integrations with QuickBase or other database platforms for operational data management. Automate reporting dashboards and KPIs using tools such as Grafana or Power BI. Collaborate with RAN engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and standardise processes. Document technical solutions, workflows, and best practices for internal knowledge sharing. Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for automation‑related issues. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. Interface with vendors and suppliers to resolve technical issues and align on product capabilities. Ideal Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in wireless network engineering (LTE, 5G, and fixed wireless). Strong programming skills in Python, PowerShell, bash, and C# (including API integration and data processing). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git). Proficiency in public and private cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerisation (Docker). Good knowledge of Ericsson hardware and software products. Experience with automation frameworks and scripting for network operations. Solid understanding of RAN technologies, network architecture, and OSS systems. Exposure to AI/ML for network optimisation. Ability to produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation. Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills. Leadership and accountability in project execution. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
